SHOW DETAILS
“HANDMADE PRODUCTS”
• The Greater Minocqua Visitors Bureau restricts any product that is not primarily artistically conceived and handcrafted by the artist/crafter. Prepurchased, imported or mass-produced items will not be accepted. Pre-purchased products that may be described as hand-embellished should be original in conception and design.
• Even after acceptance to the show, event officials have full authority to disallow any exhibit determined to be mass-produced or prepurchased. You may be asked to demonstrate how products were made. Understand that effort is made to keep shows fair and of high quality. Please do not be offended if you are asked for further documentation to validate your hard work and creativity!
• Reproductions must be signed and numbered as to the size of the edition.
• See below for photos requirements that must be submitted with applications.
Applications are separate for each event. All vendor applicants are reviewed to protect the integrity and ensure variety of the Show. The number of similar products will be regulated. These are outdoor shows on grass, with no rain date and no refunds for inclement weather or vendor cancellation.
Booth spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any requests for specific booth locations during application will be considered but not guaranteed. Payment online or by check must be received before applications are processed. You will receive confirmation of show registration within 5-10 business days.
BOOTHS & BEHAVIOR
• You must furnish your own tables, chairs, tents, any extension cords (if applying for an electrical site) and display materials. Event officials may monitor your set up. Tents must be secure and able to withstand wind and rain. Appropriate weights and tie-downs are recommended.
• All sales activities must be confined to the limits of your booth. Aisle solicitation is not allowed.
• Spaces may not be shared or sublet without approval of event officials.
• If demonstrating production, provide any safety guards, shields or other precautions necessary to ensure public safety. Event officials may prohibit or evict exhibits or participants that become objectional or unsafe for any reason, including but not limited to operation of machinery, projecting noise, and creating disagreeable odors.
• The artist/crafter is expected to be present during the entire Show.
• All participants are expected to act professionally and responsibly, as at a place of business. Event officials may prohibit or evict participants who detract from the general character of the Show. Aggressive behavior towards other participants or event officials will result in expulsion.
• NO SMOKING is allowed within 20 yards of the event’s footprint.
SET UP, TAKE DOWN, PARKING
• Check-in with event staff to receive your parking pass required upon arrival. Look for the Minocqua tent, usually located near the pavilion and restrooms.
• Your parking pass must be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle for the duration of the event, no matter where you park. The Visitors Bureau is not responsible for any parking tickets that may be issued during set up, take down, or the event.
• Vendors may begin setup at 12PM the day before the event. Overnight Park security is present for those who take advantage of early setup; however, security services are not guaranteed. Per the Town of Minocqua, there is NO OVERNIGHT PARKING OR CAMPING ALLOWED at Torpy Park or its parking lots.
• Vehicles may use the Torpy Park paved lot to load and unload. Per the Town of Minocqua, VEHICLES AND TRAILERS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE GRASS!
• All booth spaces are located on natural grass. Some terrain may be slightly inclined or uneven. As Torpy Park is a public space, there may be others present at the park and beach at any time.
• Please be respectful of your fellow vendors and event attendees by moving vehicles and trailers promptly and being aware of limited space! To ensure safety, event officials reserve the right to ask you to move your vehicle or trailer at any time.
• Booths must be ready for sales 30 minutes before the start of the event. Event officials will be reviewing booth contents at that time.
• Do not begin to pack up or take down booths before the scheduled end of event unless directed by event officials. Please leave the Park clean. Failure to comply may result in rejection in future events.
• PRIME CHOICE SHOW ONLY: The setup for Prime Choice is slightly different than the other shows we have. Vendors should plan on being within the Torpy Park parking lot by 6:45AM the morning of the event, as the road in front of the Park (HWY 51) will be entirely closed to traffic 7AM-5PM with no vehicles allowed to enter or exit. Vendors may begin setting up the day before at Noon and continue throughout the night; there will be a security guard on duty. While you should be parked by 6:30AM, you do not have to be fully set up until 8:00AM. The show starts at 9:00AM, but if you have a customer before then, please take advantage of the sale. There will be a limited number of all-day parking spaces for vendors in the Torpy Park lot, so parking is first come, first served.
