$50,000 grant is largest in Let’s Minocqua’s history

The Let’s Minocqua Visitors Bureau is now accepting applications for the entity’s largest room tax grant in its history.

The $50,000 in grant funds are now available to area non-profits, businesses and municipalities that provide marketing and focus on bringing people to the Minocqua area, along with developing it as a destination. Groups and organizations that offer activities or events that encourage visitors to stay longer will also be considered for a portion of the grant.

Past recipients have included snowmobile clubs, biking groups, festivals, Minocqua Winter Park, and more.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our clubs, businesses, and communities to get a helping hand at trying something new, or improving an already existing event or infrastructure, to draw more visitors to our area,” Westfahl said. “The creativity and improvements that come from these grant dollars not only benefit travelers but also everyone who lives here by making our communities even more vibrant.”

Those interested in applying should visit letsminocqua.com/grant for more information. All applications and awards will be reviewed and granted monthly, through the end of September, or when the money has been fully distributed.
