At the Minocqua Area Visitors Bureau, we believe in the power of tourism to positively impact our community, not just by attracting visitors, but by reinvesting those dollars in ways that enhance the local experience for everyone. That’s why we offer a variety of Community Giving Opportunities designed to support local organizations, foster meaningful events, and strengthen the fabric of the Northwoods.
Whether you're planning a new community event, enhancing public spaces, or organizing a large group visit, we offer several ways to help.
- Community Investment Fund Grants – Funded by room tax dollars, these grants support capital projects, public information initiatives, and events that benefit both locals and visitors.
- Event Sponsorships – Financial or in-kind support for events that align with our mission to foster connection, promote tourism, and celebrate community spirit.
- Donations & Raffle Basket Requests – Contributions of goods, services, or funds to support organizations and causes that reflect our values.
- Welcome Bag Requests – Custom welcome kits for weddings, sports groups, school visits, and large events that help guests feel at home in the Minocqua area.
- Event Elevation Partnerships – Annual partnerships with two nonprofit events, offering hands-on staff support and marketing expertise to grow visitor appeal.
- Event Support Loan Garage – Free access to items like tents, signage, and other equipment to help local events run smoothly and professionally.
- Community Room Rentals – A welcoming meeting space available free to our partners (with a small fee for non-partners), perfect for planning sessions, workshops, and gatherings.

Community Investment Fund Grants
The Minocqua Area Room Tax Zone is reinvesting tourism dollars back into the community through the Community Investment Fund. This grant program supports projects that enhance both visitor experiences and local quality of life, ensuring that tourism benefits everyone. Eligible applicants—including nonprofits, business associations, and local governments—can apply for funding for capital improvements, events, and public information initiatives.
