Minocqua Area Trail Expansion & BRIDGE Campaign
Ride Together. Build Together. Help Fund the Future of Trail Access in the Minocqua Area
The B.R.I.D.G.E. Campaign is a regional effort to create safer, stronger trail connectivity throughout the Minocqua area through the development of a proposed Tomahawk River dual-use bridge and expanded ATV/UTV and snowmobile trail system connections.
Led by a coalition of recreation and tourism organizations — including the Lakeland ATV/UTV Club, Cross Country Cruisers Snowmobile Club, and the Minocqua Area Visitors Bureau — this project represents a long-term investment in outdoor recreation, economic growth, and year-round tourism in Wisconsin’s Northwoods.
The proposed bridge would safely connect riders into downtown Minocqua while linking existing regional trail systems across North Central Wisconsin. More than a transportation project, the B.R.I.D.G.E. Campaign is about strengthening local businesses, enhancing visitor experiences, and preserving the Northwoods outdoor lifestyle for future generations.
The campaign goal is to raise $500,000 toward the long-term development of the project, with completion targeted by 2030.

The Northwoods thrives because of its trails, outdoor experiences, and strong recreation culture. However, safe and connected access remains limited in key areas.
The proposed Tomahawk River dual-use bridge and trail expansion will:
- Create safer routes for riders and recreational users
- Connect downtown Minocqua to surrounding trail systems
- Reduce traffic conflicts and improve navigation
- Support tourism and economic growth throughout the region
- Expand year-round recreation opportunities for future generations
This is more than a bridge. It’s an investment in community connectivity, recreation infrastructure, and the long-term vitality of the Northwoods.
