This conference is intended to elevate each participant’s base training level in some of the harshest conditions firefighters encounter during the winter months. Participants will join instructors to work on cold weather-based skills while using some of the latest and greatest equipment in the industry.

Lecture 1: Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging camera operations and tactical considerations from scene size up to building formalization. The importance of a TIC in today’s fire service is expanding and in this lecture series, you will gain a broader knowledge base of these fireground tools.

Lecture 2:  "Cultural Leadership" tailored for the company officer.

The culture of an organization is driven by its leadership. Change the way you lead and you change the culture. This isn't about changing the faces of leadership; it's about changing the attitude of leadership, at all levels. Truly knowing yourself as a leader, as well as your people, organizational goals, organizational direction, (and most important) strengths and weaknesses, will provide you with the knowledge base to be an effective leader.

In this interactive lecture, we will talk about options that have worked…and some that didn't. We will discuss how to train yourself, train those around you, manage time, identify and solve problems, and influence culture. It's about focusing on the assets you have instead of those that you don't.
