Campanile Annual Spring Concert Mark your calendars! Campanile's Annual Spring Concert will be held on Sunday, May 6th, at 1pm, at the Campanile Center for the Arts. This year's theme for Campanile's Chorus is "Life's Journey". The chorus will be singing pieces that express actions in life that have a lasting effect. The grand finale of the entire concert will be the joint Chorus and Community Band performing together the "Impossible Dream" from the musical, Man of La Mancha. The piece from composer Mitch Leigh, with lyrics by Joe Darion, is the ultimate song of courage and determination to follow our quest in life. The Community Band will feature selections from Eric Osterling, Leroy Anderson, and Dmitri Shostakovich's Festive Overture in A major, Op. 96. The Overture was composed in just three days and has been perfected for concert bands with great fanfare. The tune was featured in the 1980s Summer Olympics in Moscow and the 2009 Nobel Prize Concert. Join us following the concert for a small reception in the lobby to celebrate the final (and hopefully snow free) arrival of Spring.
