The Lakeland ATV Club invites you to Wheelin’ for a Cause: Operation Santa on Saturday, July 24th. The event is being held in conjunction with the Woodruff Fire Department’s annual Pig Roast. This multi-charity event has a variety of activities for the whole family including guided ATV/UTV rides, Santa’s Village, and Raffles! Santa’s Village, located at the Woodruff Town Hall and Fire Department, will have a variety of crafters, a Big Boy Toy shop, Santa’s favorite music, and basket raffles. The Woodruff Fire Department will be serving brats, burgers, and their famous pig roast sandwiches for lunch and dinner at the fire station along with kid’s games and water hose fights. All proceeds of Operation Santa go to needy families in the Lakeland Area and all Woodruff Fire Department proceeds to help the fire department purchase lifesaving equipment.
Registration for the event will be from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m the day of the event located at the Woodruff Town Hall, Frontage Road, and by Fire Barn and Town Garage. You can also pre-register by downloading a registration form at letswoodruff.com. The cost of registration is $20.00 per unit which includes $10.00 food and/or beverage coupons to be used at Santa’s Village (Woodruff Fire Department Building) starting at 12:00 Noon until 8:30 PM. Shuttle buses will be available. Check the Lakeland ATV/UTV Club Facebook page for locations. The children of the Lakeland Area appreciate your donations to help make their holidays a little brighter.
Schedule of Events:
Guided ATV/UTV tours will leave from behind the Woodruff Fire Barn and Veterans Parkway. Both guided rides will take you past the *North Pole.
9:00 a.m Santa’s Sleigh Ride: This guided ride will take you to Eagle River and will be roughly 5 hours long.
10:00 a.m Rudolph leading the way: This guided ride will go to Eagle River and will be roughly 5 hours long. This ride's destination may change.
Or, feel free to explore on your own. All routes are clearly marked on the Lakeland Area ATV/UTV map. Maps will be available for purchase at registration or if you are one of the first 50 people to pre-register a map will be included in your gift bag.
*NORTH POLE: The North Pole is in the woods on a Lakeland ATV Trail. At the North Pole, there will be bottled water and some soda available for purchase along with snacks, trail mix, and Christmas Cookies. The North Pole also has some special raffle prizes for those lucky people who find its location to be entered into the drawing. Prizes will be handed out at 4:30 PM at the Woodruff Fire Barn. The North Pole will have elves working from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.- Santa’s Village: Woodruff Town Hall, Frontage Road (Right Side) going toward Fire Barn. Santa’s Big Boy Toy Shop, Santa’s Craft Show, and Music
11:00 a.m.- Santa’s Kitchen is open: Food tent will be set up by Fire Barn. This is the Woodruff Fire Departments Fund Raiser and Raffle. All proceeds from this go to help the fire department with purchasing equipment.
1:00 to 3:00 p.m.- Reindeer Games: These games will be taking place at the “ice skating” rink at the Woodruff Town Hall/Garage.
12:00 to 4:00 p.m.- A live band playing oldies but goodies (Santa’s favorite music) at the Woodruff Town Garage sponsored by Happy’s Pub
4:30 to 8:30 p.m.- A live band playing music the Elves like! Sponsored by Happy’s Pub
4:30 p.m.- Lakeland ATV Raffle Drawing by Santa’s Kitchen/Band Stand.
8:30 p.m.- Woodruff Fire Department Raffle Basket Winner Drawing

The mission of the Lakeland ATV Club is to create an ongoing communications forum to include cooperation with the national & state forestry officials, state & local government officials, private landowners, and other ATV Clubs/associations. The organization shall promote safe ATV use through sponsorship of ATV Safety / Certification Classes and Trail Ambassador Programs. The organization shall also sponsor other civic activities that help promote community and youth activities to promote a positive public image of the sport. Club activities will provide ongoing educational opportunities and reference materials in volunteer development, organization/club management, community action, meeting management, resource development.
The Woodruff Fire Department was established in 1940 with currently 20 volunteer firefighters who are well educated and trained with a passion in helping northern Wisconsin communities.
