THE VILAS COUNTY SNOWMOBILE TRAIL SYSTEM INCLUDING ALL STATE FUNDED AND CLUB FUNDED TRAILS AND ROUTES WILL TEMPORARILY CLOSE ON TUESDAY, MARCH 10, 2026, at 8:00 AM.
Warm weather has taken its toll with many areas showing bare ground and pavement. The Vilas County Snowmobile Ordinance prohibits snowmobiles from operating on the trail system when closed. When and if conditions become safe again, the trails could potentially reopen.
