Whether you are a hard-core musky angler or an aspiring bass-master, a fly-fishing trout enthusiast or a parent taking the kids out for their first fishing adventure, the Minocqua area remains a premiere Midwest fishing destination.

And it's no wonder why. Vilas and Oneida counties have one of the largest concentrations of water bodies in the world. So, take your pick of lakes and rivers and head out on your own or with an area fishing guide.
Launch a boat, stroll along the shoreline or trek a frozen lake in search of an ice-fishing hot spot. The opportunities are endless.
The majority of area lakes have public boat landings, but some do not, or are no-motor lakes. Check with the chamber or your lodging hosts before you make plans.
Due to the increasing threat to our natural water resources by the spread of aquatic invasive species, please plan to inspect, clean and disinfect your boat, trailer and equipment before you launch to ensure you are not transporting invasive plants or animals.
